The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for both mechanical and electrical maintenance and preventive measures for all equipment utilized in the processing, bakery, packaging, and production areas.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

• Perform general industrial maintenance and implement preventive measures to ensure equipment reliability.
• Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical problems and setting up various equipment.
• Perform repairs, anticipate potential failures, and respond promptly to equipment issues.
• Complete necessary paperwork related to maintenance activities.
• Possess a strong working knowledge of various equipment and systems, including conveyor systems, packaging machinery, pumps, gear reduction boxes, HVAC systems, boilers, air handling systems, mixers, cookers, fryers, ovens, folders, dicers, freezers, and processing machinery.
• Proficiency in basic welding techniques such as Arc welding, Mig, Tig, stick welding, and plasma cutting.
• Troubleshoot control and power electrical systems, including the removal and replacement of motors, starters, relays, limit switches, fuses, and primary control components.

Qualifications:

 

• High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred industrial maintenance training.
• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a general mechanic.
• Knowledge of refrigeration, ammonia systems, and guard systems is advantageous.
• Proficiency in general industrial troubleshooting, predictive maintenance, and repairs.
• Flexibility to work any shift and weekends.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Salary: Commensurate with Experience (Non-Exempt)
