Salary: $20.00 + /hr.

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator.

As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment, including concrete mixers, roll-off trucks, backhoes, loaders, dump trucks, farm machinery, caterpillars, and tankers.

Your role will be crucial in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of equipment on our job sites. This position is never in one location, you must be able to commute where the jobs are located, anywhere from Roanoke to Wytheville. 

Duties:

• Operate and maintain various types of heavy equipment according to safety guidelines and manufacturer specifications
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment
• Safely transport materials and equipment to and from job sites
• Excavate and grade land using backhoes and loaders
• Operate concrete mixers to produce quality concrete for construction projects
• Load and unload materials using dump trucks or other appropriate machinery
• Follow project plans and specifications to complete assigned tasks efficiently
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Equipment Operator or similar role
• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to operate a variety of heavy equipment, including concrete mixers, roll-off trucks, backhoes, loaders, dump trucks, farm machinery, caterpillars, and tankers
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to heavy equipment operation
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
