Job Title: Forklift Operator / Crane Operator

Shifts Available:

1. 1st Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
2. 2nd Shift: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour

Job Description:

Are you a skilled forklift operator with experience in a steel yard environment? Do you have expertise in operating overhead cranes? We are currently seeking a Forklift Operator / Crane Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently handling steel materials using a sit-down yard forklift and overhead crane.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a sit-down yard forklift to load, unload, and transport structural steel materials within the yard.
• Use an overhead crane to lift and maneuver heavy steel components with precision and care.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others.
• Assist with inventory management, including tracking and organizing steel materials in the yard.
• Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders and meet customer requirements in a timely manner.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts, cranes, and other equipment as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the yard area to optimize workflow and safety.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating a sit-down yard forklift and overhead crane required.
• Knowledge of structural steel materials and handling practices preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work either 1st or 2nd shift as needed.
