Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Administrative Assistant to join our Pain Management Center team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare administration and a passion for providing exceptional patient service. Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors with empathy and professionalism, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork, ensuring all information is accurately documented.
  • Maintain electronic health records (EHR) and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care and follow-up.
  • Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance coverage.
  • Assist with billing and coding procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage inventory of office supplies and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to optimize patient care and outcomes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients throughout their treatment journey.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a medical administrative assistant or in a similar role, preferably in a pain management or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, billing, and coding procedures.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
