Shipping and Receiving Specialist Job Summary:
One of the Leading food processing equipment suppliers is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Specialist with a solid background in Shipping and Receiving to become one of the key persons in this area.
Shipping and Receiving Specialist responsibilities:
- Shipping out customer orders
- Receiving incoming materials
- Process and set up UPS/FedEx pick ups
- Domestic and international shipments
- Maintain and manage Inventory control
- Operation of a Hilo
- Move heavy equipment and machinery
- Physical count of inventory
- Record and track material movement
- Put Stock away
- Advise the quality department of incoming goods and materials and pass all pertinent information, such as packing slips, material certifications and purchasing order details.
- Count, weigh, measure, and tag incoming product and materials to verify against packing slip, orders, bill of lading or other tracking purposes.
- Custom building of crates for products to be shipped,
- Arrange transportation services
- Processes all pertinent paperwork relative to a given shipment such as labels, packing lists and bill-of-lading to meet sales order and customer delivery specifications.
- Prepare export documents such as Commercial Invoice, Export packing slip and NAFTA/Certificate of Origin for all international shipments.
- Monitor shipping and receiving supplies such as pallets, boxes, straps, and tape; requesting materials as needed.
- Performs general housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the dock and inventory areas.
Schedule: 8am-4:30pm plus overtime as needed
Pay: $18.00/HR-$22.00/HR
Shipping and Receiving Specialist Qualifications:
- Must have forklift with heavy duty equipment movement preferred
- Shipping and Receiving experience
- Working knowledge and use of UPS and FedEx soft ware
- Working in ERP systems (Epicor)
- Computer skills: Outlook /Word and Excel
- Measuring
- light Carpentry skills to build custom crates
- Solid communication skills
- Must have at least one year of experience in a shipping or receiving clerk position
- Ability to lift 50lbs-60lbs
