We are currently assisting with the recruitment of a Laboratory Manager for a leading provider of analytical testing services, specializing in environmental analysis. This company prides themselves on their commitment to accuracy, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
This position will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of analytical data, managing client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining laboratory accreditation standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Environmental Sciences/Engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental testing and analytics
- Strong knowledge of fundamental environmental testing, particularly in conventional, metals, and organics testing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients and internal stakeholders
- Experience with ISO 17025 accreditation standards and quality management systems preferred
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle diverse challenges and requests
Responsibilities:
- Validate and verify analytical data, approving final Certificate of Analysis reports for clients
- Act as the primary liaison between clients and internal technical experts, addressing technical and logistical issues as they arise
- Develop new business opportunities, providing client service quotations and resolving technical and logistical challenges
- Support staff and internal systems for ongoing ISO 17025 laboratory accreditation maintenance and improvement
- Manage the ordering and maintenance of laboratory supplies and coordinate with external service providers
- Address laboratory equipment and building-related issues, liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations
- Handle non-routine client requests and unexpected issues with creativity and professionalism
