Salary: $25-$28/hr BOE

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The HVAC Technician will work on a variety of systems including residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  1. Install new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems according to manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
  2. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  3. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC systems, including identifying faulty components and making necessary repairs.
  4. Conduct regular inspections of HVAC systems to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns.
  5. Respond promptly to service calls and emergency situations to address HVAC issues for customers.
  6. Keep accurate records of work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and service reports.
  7. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing their concerns in a professional manner.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices for HVAC systems.
  9. Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure seamless operation of HVAC systems in various settings.
  10. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Completion of a vocational or technical training program in HVAC maintenance and repair.
  3. EPA certification for handling refrigerants (e.g., Universal Certification).
  4. Proven experience as an HVAC Technician, with a minimum of [X] years in the field.
  5. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
  6. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  7. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in workmanship.
  9. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  10. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  11. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Additional certifications or licenses related to HVAC systems (e.g., NATE certification).
  2. Experience working with a variety of HVAC brands and equipment.
  3. Knowledge of building automation systems and controls.
  4. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for scheduling and tracking maintenance activities.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials (up to [X] pounds).
  2. Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
  3. Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
  4. Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling tools and equipment.

Work Environment:

  1. Work will be performed both indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions.
  2. Exposure to potentially hazardous materials and chemicals, including refrigerants.
  3. May require working in cramped or uncomfortable positions while installing or repairing HVAC systems.
