Yard Labourer

Our client, an equipment rental company in the East End, is currently looking for a hard-working Yard Labourer to join their team. This is a seasonal position with the possibility for permanency. 

Required skills and qualifications:

·       Safety Conscious

·       Minimum 1-year experience in a similar position (Yard labourer, Landscape labourer, etc.)

·       Ability to work independently/in a team

·       Must be able and willing to learn

·       Capable of lifting up to 50lbs

·       Must be willing to work outdoors – year-round

·       Must be comfortable getting wet and dirty – Will be using a pressure washer

·       Own vehicle is preferred due to the hours of the position

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

·       Lift up to 50lbs

·       Work outdoors year-round (rain or shine)

·       Wash and clean equipment (wet and/or dirty)

·       Prepare machines (orders) for the next day

·       Load and unload clients and supplier vehicles

·       Assist customers when they come to pick up their orders

·       Assist in the shop and mechanics to get tools

·       Inspect and report damages

·       Put away stock

·       Learn the inventory and conduct cycle counts

·       Operate equipment as needed to move around the yard

·       Organize and clean the yard and shop

·       Other duties as assigned 

The wage for this position ranges between $18.00 – $20.00 per hour depending on experience. The ideal candidate is a team player, flexible, motivated, and reliable. 

Hours: Monday to Friday – 6:00am to 5:00pm (if interested in working long hours) or 7:00am to 5:00pm with overtime paid after 44 hours per week
