CNC Operator

Located in Largo, FL

Salary: $15..00 to $17.00/Hr

Hours: Part time as needed Monday-Friday

Job Description/Duties:

·         Produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) mill machine.

·         Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.

·         Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces, adhering to international and AS standards.

·         Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

·         Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

·         Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

·         Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.

·         Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.

·         Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

·         Adheres to safety and quality standards.

• Help coordinate work activities within the department to ensure the highest possible productivity and quality.
• Keep work area neat, clean, and organized.
• Any other duties as assigned.
• Ability to learn and apply new concepts in short periods of time.
• Customer-focused with a high sense of urgency

·         Minimum of three (3) years’ experience operating CNC machines

·         Working knowledge of G-Codes and running close tolerance, highly cosmetic parts.

·         Exhibit a strong attention to detail, with high accuracy of work.

·         Ability to adjust quickly as requirements change.

• Capable of reading and understanding blueprints and instructions
