Express Employment Professionals in Yuba City is currently recruiting candidates for a senior accountant position with a large trucking company in the Yuba/Sutter area.  The ideal candidate will have senior level accounting experience within the trucking industry.  The senior accountant will be responsible for streamlining budgeting, payroll, and the financial reporting process.  The senior accountant will also produce thorough financial status reports for executives to improve operational efficiency and continued growth. 

Senior Accountant Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines
• Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions
• Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures
• Maintain financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis
• Follow set accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards while remaining knowledgeable of proposed legislation
• Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows

Senior Accountant Job Requirements:

·       Experience with McLeod trucking software

·       Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience

• Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
• Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
• Experience in managing payroll, with focus on streamlining accounting processes
• Exemplary history of financial project management
• Excellent communication skills – both written & verbal

Senior Accountant Educational Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field of study
