Salary: $20-$26/hour
We are partnered with an ophthalmologist office seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of medical billing processes, coding systems, and terminology to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement within a medical office setting.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize ICD-10 and ICD-9 codes to accurately process claims- Review and verify patient insurance information- Generate patient statements and invoices- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials with insurance companies- Maintain patient billing records and update as necessary- Collaborate with medical coders to ensure proper coding on claims- Assist in medical collections as needed
Requirements:
- Proficiency in medical terminology, billing, coding, and collection procedures- Experience working with medical records systems- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry- Excellent organizational and time management skills
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
Pay Rate: $20-$26/hour
