Job Title: Junior CAD Drafter

Position Overview: Seeking a talented and motivated Junior CAD Drafter to join the Facilities Design/Construction Department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and construction, with the ability to read and interpret retail documents, specifications, and drawings. As a Junior CAD Drafter, you will support various aspects of the design and construction process, collaborating with internal and external resources to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a partner and support resource to the Facilities Design/Construction Department.
• Read and interpret retail documents, specifications, and drawings.
• Partner with departmental personnel to understand equipment and material requirements.
• Assist in the preparation and development of electronic layouts and detailed scale drawings.
• Review the accuracy of designs provided by external resources to meet company specifications.
• Update and revise computer-aided designs (CAD), specifications, and plans as needed.
• Assist in the implementation and utilization of Revit.
• Prepare detailed construction plans, specifications, and documents for internal and external resources.
• Act as a liaison between vendors and internal/external resources for design and plan accuracy.
• Perform material and equipment take-offs for completed plans.
• Assist in research, development, and ordering of materials and equipment as defined in the drawings.
• Handle vendor contact via email and phone.
• Contribute to miscellaneous projects and activities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Office Suites.
• 2+ years of experience working with CAD software.
• Associate’s degree in Drafting or Business Management preferred.
