Salary: $50,000 - $55,000

Our client, an HVAC services company located in the East End, is currently looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.  The ideal candidate is open to learning new software and eager to learn new skills and tasks.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Enter payroll of 75+ employees
• Process timesheets
• Handle payroll and timecard issues/questions
• Record all accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Liaison between sales and accounting departments
• Maintaining a proper paper and electronic filing system
• Other duties as assigned (data entry, scanning, etc.)
  

Required skills and qualifications:

• Minimum 1-year experience in an accounting type role – Accounting Clerk, Accounting Assistant, Accounts Payable
• Post-secondary education related to Accounting (Certificate, Diploma, Degree) an asset
• Strong English communication skills
• Good knowledge of MS Word and Excel
• Comfortable working in a blue-collar environment
• Keen attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Ability to multitask
• ·Exceptional organizational skills
• Previous knowledge of Maestro and/or Salesforce a strong asset

The starting salary for this position ranges from $50,000 - $55,000 per year depending on experience.

Schedule: Monday to Friday – 7:30am to 4:00pm
