Location: Dekalb, IL

Position Type: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

Salary: $18.82 per hour

Are you detail-oriented and passionate about ensuring product quality? We are seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to join our team in Dekalb, IL. As a Quality Technician, you will play a critical role in inspecting products, handling nonconformance, and maintaining accurate records to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect products according to written inspection instructions using visual inspection, metrology instruments, gauges, functional tests, and test equipment.
  • Utilize computer databases to access current revisions of control documents.
  • Complete and maintain accurate inspection records in paper or electronic form.
  • Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials in accordance with divisional procedures.
  • Utilize basic quality control knowledge and prior experience with measuring equipment such as gauges.
  • Demonstrate computer literacy and attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Assist co-workers and show willingness to cross-train and learn various aspects of the production process.
  • Exhibit reliability and dedication to the role and responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of direct work experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in utilizing measuring equipment and conducting inspections.
  • Computer literate with the ability to navigate databases and maintain accurate records.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
