Accounts Payable Specialist

Located in Edmonton, AB

Salary: $25 - $30 /hour

An Edmonton client is searching for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team.

Accounts Payable Specialist Highlights:

·         Effectively communicate with vendors via email and phone to address inquiries and resolve issues.

·         Process invoices through the internal approval flow system, ensuring they return to a centralized group inbox for resolution of vendor inquiries.

·         Accurately match and batch invoices for entry into Sage 300 accounting software.

·         Post invoices into Sage 300 with precision and attention to detail.

·         Manage a weekly workload of 100-300 invoices, with anticipation of increased activity during upcoming busy seasons.

·         Focus primarily on processing project-related invoices rather than corporate invoices.

·         Contribute to month-end closure activities by meticulously entering all invoices into sub ledgers within the month-end timeline.

·         Perform high-volume data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.

·         Additional Details:

·         Immediate availability is required for a 6-month contract position.

·         Requirements:

·         Previous experience in accounts payable or related field preferred.

·         Proficiency in using Sage 300 accounting software is an asset.

·         Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

·         Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

·         Ability to manage a high volume of invoices and prioritize workload effectively.

·         Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

·         Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.

·         08:30 AM to 05:00 PM – Monday to Friday

·         $25 - $30 /hour
