Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician Painter for a contract assignment in Enfield. Our client is a global property management company, and their client is an aircraft manufacturer. Previous experience with interior and exterior painting is a requirement for this role.

 

Responsibilities:

• ·       Prepares surfaces for painting, including filling holes and cracks, scrapping, sanding, and priming.
• ·       Applies paint, stain, and other finishes to interior and/or exterior surfaces, using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.
• ·       Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems. 
• ·       Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
• ·       Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• ·       Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
• ·       Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
• ·       Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• ·       Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
• ·       Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
• ·       Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
• ·       Perform job risk analysis and communicate high potential risks to Facilities Manager.
• ·       Cleans up the work area and properly stores equipment and materials.

 

Requirements:

 

• ·       Must have at least 3 years of painting experience for both interior and exterior work.
• ·       High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience.   In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.  
• ·       Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders up to 30 ft high, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.  
• ·       Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• ·       Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• ·       Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.  Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.  
• ·       Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset. 

 

Our client Offers:

• ·       Full-time contract role – 10 months (likely to extend further)
• ·       Pay is $25-$26 per hour based on relevant experience
• ·       Monday to Friday 40 hours flexible schedule
