Quality Engineer

This is a DIRECT HIRE Quality Engineer opportunity for global supplier in Columbus, IN that creates components for the automotive industry and has been in business for over 50 years.

• The primary duties of this position is to ensure customer conformance to all aspects of production processing; with focus on dimensional inspection, PPAP submission, and customer communications; while working closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality departments.                                                             
• Programs and Maintains CMM equipment as needed        
• Develops training materials and facilitates training courses for plant personnel with specific focus on SPC data collection, Abnormal condition recognition, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.                                                                  
• Develops materials in compliance of TS16949, ISO14001, or other regulatory or customer driven requirements.
• Leads teams that are focused on root cause analysis, continual improvement activities, and new product development; as well as employee training and development.    
• Actively interacts with customers and other external parties regarding matters relating to pertinent quality or compliance systems.                                                                                                                                                                                  

Pay/Benefits:

·         $80,000-$90,000+ based upon experience

Requirements:

·         Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

·         Heat Treat knowledge is required

·         3-5 years of proven experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing or software development environment.

·         Strong understanding of quality control processes and methodologies.

·         Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with quality standards.
