Express Employment Professionals Cincinnati East is now hiring for a label company in Batavia, OH that is looking for Quality Assurance Technicians.

 

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Quality Manager, this position is responsible for assisting with timely, accurate and thorough monitoring and reporting to include: final release for production processing, certifications of analysis, complaint investigations, and assuring compliance with customer and company established standards and specifications.

 

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform final visual verification of labels to spot printing and finishing defects
• Perform counting, packaging, and grouping of labels by customers. Match finished goods with production reports
• Perform data entry in Radius
• Perform final release inspection to ensure the product meets customer requirements
• Count and record job ticket completion information and production label testing requirements
• Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures
• Assist with equipment calibration and care
• Responsible for the approval of labels and processes prior to press run
• Responsible for the approval of roll end retains saved by press operators
• Responsible for assembling, filing, and updating color tolerance folders, color consistency files, pulling clear overlays prior to press run, etc.
• Collect and review reject information as assigned by the Quality Manager
• Conduct data collection and analysis as required
• Participate in improvement initiatives and projects
• Participate in department meetings as scheduled

Position Requirements:

• Ability to work a rotating, 12-hour shift including nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Strong mathematics skills
• Ruler math skills required
• Be able to differentiate colors
• ASQ Certifications preferred
• Three years of print industry experience preferred
• Knowledge of quality assurance preferred
• High school education or G.E.D.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds
• Physical ability to stand, walk, squat, reach, and bend for long periods of time
• Attention to detail/visually oriented
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications including analytical abilities within Excel
• Team player; ability to work cooperatively within a team

 

Shift: C Shift, Rotation of 2-2-3 schedule, 6pm-6am.
Pay: $17/hour + $1/hour shift differential
