Full Time Temp to hire.

$19 to $21hr depending on experience.

Monday thru Friday - 6am to 2:30am

 

Innovative manufacturer of highly engineered fluid and gas handling high pressure equipment designed to generate high pressures to store and control gases and liquids for a wide range of applications, is looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join their team in Burbank.

 

Summary:

Assemble, fabricate, and test mechanical parts, systems, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line in a manufacturing organization. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment(s) and products.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, and Product Management as required on system builds, test/certify/life cycle new or sustaining products.
  • Utilize manual and pneumatic tools.
  • Maintain inventory of products in workstations.
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
  • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness (5S) of work area daily.
  • Participate in continuous improvement goals of the work site.

 

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Ability to use various power (pneumatic) hand tools (i.e.; power screwdriver, socket etc.)
  • Knowledge of tube bending, cut off and deburring.
  • Ability to understand blueprints.
  • Computer hardware understanding and proficiency.
  • Possess knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly, connecting wires to terminals, AC/DC current concepts.
  • Systems fabrication strongly preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years’ experience in heavy mechanical assembly.
