Maintenance Electrician

Located in Kentwood, MI

Salary: $19/hour plus a $2 shift prem

Maintenance Electrician: A growing manufacturer in Grand Rapids is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join their team. The Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for preventative maintenance and repair of plant equipment, installing small components and monitoring support equipment.

 

Maintenance Electrician Responsibilities:

• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment, building and machines as assigned by supervisor
• Performs welding in various tasks such as affixing brackets properly to mount electrical and mechanical components
• Operates cutting torch to remove attached components and to braze metal pieces
• Updates minor changes on electrical prints
• Rebuilds small components such as solenoids
• Installs components/devices for updating equipment
• Assists in the installation of all new equipment in the plant
• Monitors waste treatment (monitors support equipment – Airlane) including preventative maintenance and repair
• Reports safety hazards, follows lockout procedures and safety rules
• Maintains good housekeeping in the work areas
• Performs other tasks assigned by designated supervisor

 

Maintenance Electrician Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1-2 years pf technical training or industrial maintenance experience preferred
• Basic understanding of control prints for electrical machinery
• The ability to obtain forklift license
• Basic understanding of electrical components, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Ability to use basic electrical equipment such as amp probes and multimeters
• Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly

 

• Schedule:
• 2^nd shift – Monday-Friday, 3pm-11pm
• Pay:
• $19/hour plus a $2 shift premium for 2^nd and 3^rd shift
