OVERVIEW: A large regional home improvement replacement products company headquartered in the Washington, DC metropolitan area is looking for Brand Engagement Specialists to join their team. Ideal candidates are looking for a path to get into sales and the goal is promote individuals to sales people.

 

POSITION SUMMARY: The Brand Engagement Specialist is responsible for the generation of qualified leads by actively engaging with potential and current customers through field marketing initiatives, home shows, events, and diverse community engagement activities. In this position, the specialist will serve as the ambassador of Thompson Creek, promoting its products and services.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily.

  • Generate qualified leads through various marketing channels through home shows & events, field marketing and other neighborhood engagement efforts.
  • Utilize data-driven strategies to identify and target potential customers effectively.
  • Act as a Thompson Creek ambassador at community events, building and maintaining positive relationships with local communities.
  • Promote Thompson Creek''s products and services to prospective and existing customers with enthusiasm and product knowledge.
  • Deliver engaging presentations using technology to educate and inform potential customers of Thompson Creek Products and Services.
  • Participate in continuous training and development programs to enhance communication skills, negotiation tactics, and strategic planning.
  • Become proficient in all of Thompson Creek''s products and services to provide in-depth information to customers.
  • Setup and tear down TCWC activations at various events and trade shows.
  • Maintain proper care and inventory of event and trade show display materials.
  • Adhere to a predetermined event schedule and work under the guidance of the on-site event lead.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or BA/BS preferred and previous experience in event coordination or promotional work of 1-2 years; any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer Skills: Basic skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position primarily works in a climate-controlled event venue. Some events are held out of doors where weather may be a factor.
