Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Located in Fitchburg, MA

Salary: $27-$45

We are looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for our client in Fitchburg, MA. This role will be responsible for troubleshooting, disassembling, and reassembling Rock Crushers, Screens, and material handling equipment within the Crushing and Screening sector throughout New England.

 

Responsibilities:

• Hands-on experience with hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems diagnostics.
• Conducting preventive maintenance and inspections
• Previous exposure to troubleshooting, testing, and servicing Metso equipment is desirable.
• Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the workshop area.
• Self-reliant, driven, and safety-conscious.
• Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records.

• This position is primarily on the road throughout New England.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
• Knowledge and practice in electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Physical capability to handle heavy loads, climb machinery, and sustain prolonged periods of bending, kneeling, and raised-arm work.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
• Strong awareness of safety protocols and compliance.

This position is Monday-Friday from 7:00AM-5:00PM

The pay is $27-$45/hr depending on experience.
