^2nd Shift Traffic Control Clerk

A local Kansas City, KS warehouse is looking to add a Traffic Control Clerk to their company! This is an evaluation hire (potential direct placement for the right candidate), with room for advancement and growth opportunities. The Traffic Clerk is responsible for the delegation of work to the warehouse associates (full picks, piece picks, inbounds and loads). The Traffic Clerk is also responsible for greeting OTR drivers at the driver’s window checking them in and out with correct completed paperwork inbound or outbound. Traffic Clerk works closely with transportation and the schedule making sure work is completed prior to the appointment time in the schedule.

 

PAY  $18.50

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Coordinate shipping/receiving documents accurately and on time.
• Ensure orders meet daily pick-up schedules safely and efficiently.
• Verify and count products for data accuracy.
• Maintain the warehouse management system scheduler.
• Maintain accuracy of shipping and receiving documents.
• Handle customer inquiries at the dispatch window.
• Manage shipping and receiving records.
• Train new associates.
• Resolve escalated issues promptly.
• Delegate work to associates.
• Update schedules and manage trailer moves.
• Utilize SAP for order creation.
• Check in OTR drivers and complete paperwork.
• Maintain reliable attendance.
• Adhere to safety and security standards.
• Perform assigned duties as needed. 

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.

• Experience: One (1) year experience in transportation control.

• Computer Skills: Intermediate computer or tablet skills; intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word); SAP.
