Full-time Warehouse Worker

Salary: $18.00

Our client, a specialty food products supplier located in the East End of Ottawa, is currently looking to hire a Full-time Warehouse Worker to join their team. This would be a 4-month contract with the possibility of permanency.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Previous Order Picking / Warehouse experience considered a great asset
• Safety Conscious
• Must have keen attention to detail
• Ability to work independently / in a team
• Must have positive attitude and eagerness to learn
• Capable of lifting up to 50lbs
• Previous experience operating a forklift considered an asset
  

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Unloading shipments from trucks/containers and verifying the materials received for proper quantity and quality
• Sorting and placing products in appropriate areas throughout the warehouse and other storage locations
• Lifting up to 50lbs
• Operating mechanical equipment including electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack, etc.
• Picking orders based on client order sheets and packaging them into boxes / onto pallets
• Printing shipping labels/documents and placing inside / onto the boxes before shipped out
• Loading trucks of packaged products for shipping to customers
• Conducting inventory cycle counts
• Rotating products in the warehouse to maintain FIFO (first in, first out)
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized warehouse at all times
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

The wage for this position is $18.00 per hour.

Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:00pm
