Salary: $70,000 - $90,000

Our client, a leading distributor of flooring products, is currently looking for an Account Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be managing 4 Territories. (Ottawa, Ottawa Valley, Southwest – Carleton Place, Smith Falls, Gananoque, and South – Kemptville, Casselman, Cornwall)

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Present, promote and sell products/services to existing and prospective customers
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling – leads are provided – pop into neighbouring businesses in the area
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
  • Keep up to date of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback
  • Respond quickly to needs of client
  • Complete quotes in a timely manner
  • Daily travels throughout territory to visit clients and prospects
  • Able to effectively represent all product lines to clients
  • Occasional office duties including order entry, inside sales, customer service, and answering phones
  • Attend training sessions and travel with supplier representatives
  • Other duties as assigned 

Required skills and qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of sales experience with a proven track record for business forecasting, planning and executing on sales strategies
  • Previous construction or building materials experience
  • CRM experience
  • Must have own vehicle with a valid G License
  • Driven and focused
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Professional with a positive attitude
  • Bilingualism is considered a strong asset

 

Schedule: Monday to Friday – 8:00am – 4:30pm – May need to work outside regular business hours to accommodate clients

Wage: $70,000 - $90,000 per year
