Express Employment Professionals are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to join an amazing team in Cache Valley! As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and comply with all relevant regulations. Your expertise in data collection, quality management, and precision measuring instruments will be crucial in maintaining our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular quality audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Release final product, ensuring the compliance of customer specifications; final product hold and disposition when necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality systems, such as CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Oversee the calibration and maintenance of precision measuring instruments
  • Train and educate employees on quality control processes and procedures
  • Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with quality standards
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials
  • Investigate customer complaints related to product quality and implement appropriate solutions

Skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science or microbiology
  • Minimum 2-3 years of leadership experience preferable in a manufacturing setting
  • Must be able to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment; work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles, practices, and techniques
  • Proficiency in QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) methodologies
  • Experience working with precision measuring instruments such as calipers
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends or patterns
  • Familiarity with various quality systems, such as ISO 9001 or Six Sigma
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
