1^st Shift - Machine Operator

A local Bonner Springs company is looking to add an experienced Machine Operator to their company! This is an evaluation hire (potential direct placement for the right candidate), with room for advancement and growth opportunities.

PAY: $21/hr

SCHEDULE:  Mon – Fri, 6:00am – 4:00pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Efficiently operate equipment to transform raw materials into finished products up to yard stage.
• Conduct quality inspections of products to ensure they meet established standards.
• Aid in maintaining accurate production records and documentation.
• Monitor machinery and associated equipment for malfunctions, promptly reporting any issues.
• Perform machine clean-up, set-up, and preventive maintenance, including tasks related to job changes.
• Willingly cross-train in various aspects of the production process as required.
• Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, either temporarily or permanently.
• Proactively maintain cleanliness and safety across all work areas.
• Always adhere to applicable housekeeping and safety procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED equivalent or at least 1-year experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety procedures, operating and maintenance manuals.
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds each at heights from floor level to 4 feet high.
• Must wear personal protective equipment - Ear plugs, hard hat, steel toe shoes and protective glasses.
