Quality Control Inspector – Slaughter LA

EVALUATION HIRE

$22 / Hr.

Day Shift 7 am – 3:30 pm Mon-Thursday, 6 am - 2:30 pm Fridays

 

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Quality Control inspector for a client in Slaughter La. In this role, the primary responsibility will be reviewing manufactured products for defects, and inspection of all incoming, outgoing, and manufactured parts and product lines. A candidate with CWI certification is preferred. The ideal candidate will be well-organized and able to multi-task, with a high understanding of company standards of excellence.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Quality Control Inspector: 

• Quality control/general inspection for acceptance of parts and products.
• Inspection of all incoming parts orders from vendors within 24 hours of delivery
• Inspection of all finished parts from the machine shop before said parts leaving the machine shop.
• Inspection of every completed subassembly
• Inspection of every completed product before said product is painted.
• Final inspection of every product after painting, but before shipping
• Inspection of all parts cut on the burn table before said parts are utilized in production.
• Inspection of all sheet steel and round stock upon delivery by vendor for stock
• Performs incoming reports on all incoming units and notifies departments of arrivals.
• Investigate, report, and maintain logs on all nonconformances.
• Assists third-party inspectors with quality issues and records.
• Maintains Material Test Reports
• Issues weld stencils and maintain log.
• Maintains calibrations of equipment and records
• In addition to reports, photograph all incoming and outgoing jobs and maintain the job photo files, notating all visible damage on incoming units and reporting accordingly.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Certified Welding Inspector Certification is a PLUS.
• Certification in quality control or a related field is a PLUS.
• Strong knowledge of quality control principles, practices, and methodologies.
• Proficiency in using measurement tools and equipment for inspection purposes.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities accurately.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate inspection results and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and ISO standards is desirable.
