Assembly  Fitters, multiple positions- 2nd shift positions, starting pay $22.00

summary: Lays out, fits steel and components to assembly structural forms such as triable frames, rectangle frames, pile frames, columns, struts, and other building parts by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and responsibilities: Calculates figures such as angels and areas. Interprets a variety of instructions in written, oral or scheduled forms. Operates small hand tools such as grinders, drills, and band saws. Operating forklift, setting up and operating fabricating machines such as punch, shear, notched, torch or drill press. Positions, fits, and aligns tack parts by bolts, apply coating, and stress tests.

Physical demands. Employees will stand, walk, use hands to fingers, handle and or feel more than 2/3 of the time. Employees must be able to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk and hear. Highly physical position requiring applicant to be in reasonably good physical condition. Employees will be required to lift to 25 pounds regularly. Employees must have the ability to lift to 50 to 100 pounds occasionally, using team lifting/ equipment in a safe manner. Employees will be required to use peripheral vision and depth perception regularly, must have the ability to always adjust focus.

 Work Environment: The employee will regularly be exposed to wet and or humid conditions. Fumes and/or airborne particles, constant outdoor weather conditions. The employee will occasionally be working in extreme cold or heat. The noise level will range from loud to very loud.
