Express is looking for a Facilities Communications Specialist (Dispatcher). If you have great communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, this may be the job for you.

Schedule (May include weekends) 2nd and 3rd Shifts

• Monday – Friday – 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Monday – Friday – 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Description

You will receive and log call-ins by telephone or computer; create work orders in the Maximo system. Assign rooms to custodians for cleaning in Capacity Management System. Communicate via radio and telephone with all maintenance, environmental, and/or security personnel. Maintain an accurate log of all daily events and requests.

Essential Functions

• Provide exceptional customer service to manage customer queries and complaints.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining and providing a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude always.
• Maintain a high volume of inbound calls.
• Receive work orders by telephone and/or computer.
• Ensure that work orders meet criteria and determine appropriate responses.
• Assign work orders to correct zone mechanic.
• Prioritize and dispatch work order requests.
• Follow up with customers by using work order numbers to ensure job completion.
• Maintain ongoing two-way radio and telephone communication with all facilities, security, and safety personnel.
• Monitors the fire alarm for all buildings at the client site.
• Monitors infant alarm for client site.
• Monitors pneumatic tubing system for client site.
• Undergoes fire watch training to complete fire watch patrols for client construction sites and notifies the safety department of any deficiencies.
• Monitors Bed Management system.
• Fields calls for different departments on an as-needed basis.
• Complete monthly elevator phone inspections.
• Report elevator issues and/or entrapments to client contractor and facilities.
• Carries out specific tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for the assigned site.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or Equivalent
• 2+ years of Customer Service experience
• Excellent customer service skills
• Healthcare Experience Preferred
• Security Experience Preferred
• Knowledge of basic computer skills
• Must be able to lift 20 to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to walk up and down stairs.
• Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good active listening skills
• Professional phone voice
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be able to work independently once training is complete
• Must be well-groomed and professional in appearance
