CNC Programmer Operator

Burbank, CA

Full time – Temp to hire

Monday thru Friday – 8am to 5pm

$29 to $32hr depending on experience.

 

High end manufacturing company producing precision, quality aerospace fasteners is looking for a CNC Programmer Operator to join their team in Burbank.

 

Summary: Seeking a CNC Programmer with a comprehensive understanding of all CNC machining and programming operations. This role is tasked with working in close concert with engineering teams to increase productivity and optimizing machining by establishing a turnkey machine shop with rapid delivery of prototype using, milling machines, lathes, turning centers and horizontal mills using engineering drawings, company and customer specifications. Continuous Improvement of processes and products are an ongoing function of this position.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to company and customer specifications, work instructions, engineering prints and work orders.
  • Documents the materials and processes used in the process to maintain traceability of product.
  • Operates CNC machine in a safe manner.
  • Loads programs into CNC machine and executes program cutting and drilling of the material.
  • Secures stock of material into the machine.
  • Monitors the operating of the machine to ensure proper program performance.
  • Deburrs completed machine parts as time allows.
  • Provides feedback to supervisor and programmer as to the performance of the program and tooling used.
  • Verify the accuracy of the parts using calipers, micrometers and other quality equipment.
  • Ensures the machine is in proper working order and immediately reports any suspect parts.
  • Properly maintains coolant as necessary, including removal of contaminants.
  • Able to troubleshoot problems.
  • CNC set-up and run Operator (Mill and or Lathes)
  • Work from set-up sheets, blue prints sketches etc.
  • Set-up machines and verifies data on set-up sheets.
  • Able to use all types of gauges and inspection equipment.
  • Meet production and quality standards at all times.
  • Tasks may vary slightly based on products produced at division.
  • All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a CNC SU/Programming Operator in manufacturing environment.
  • Required Hs Diploma/GED AND Relevant experience.
  • Able to write advanced CNC programs.
  • Able to program 3 axis.
  • Ability to read engineering blueprints.
  • Ability to complete the Job Skill Training Matrix for CNC Set Up/Programmer.
  • Ability to use all gages and gaging techniques required.
  • Fluent in English (both strong verbal and written communication skills) 7. Advanced computer knowledge.
  • Ability to set-up, program and operate one or more sizes/types of manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to consistently meet production and quality standards.
  • Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and understanding of all required operator documentation.
