Express Employment in Corning is partnering with a Fine Arts location in Horseheads to find their next Director of Men's Programming!

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain detailed working knowledge of USAG program rules, to include, but not limited to the Code of Points for the Xcel and Developmental Program, and any ninja warrior specific rules. 
  • Some admin work
  • Coach/Lead classes and team practices to include warm up
  • Create a men's competitive team program from the ground up, to include the proactive recruitment of gymnasts for the team program
  • Ensure appropriate health and safety policies/procedures are followed at all times 
  • provide support to other coaches
  • Must stay up-to-date on all USAG certifications including Safety and Risk Management (U101), Fundamentals of Gymnastics (U100), Tough Coaching or Emotional Abuse: Knowing When the Line Has Been Crossed (U112), and Safe Sport to name a few. Certifications must be acquired within 45 days from the date of hire, if not currently held, and renewed within 45 days of expiration.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with USAG men’s programming is desired.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience coaching competitive level athletes OR a minimum of 3 years’ experience coaching gymnastics and/or ninja warrior style classes is desired.
  • Level appropriate spotting knowledge is required.
  • CPR/AED/First Aid Certification is required. Certifications must be acquired within 45 days from the date of hire, if not currently held.
  • Must be able to demonstrate outstanding customer service skills.
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends. On-call availability to cover for another coach within the men’s programming division is required.
  • Must be dependable, reliable and detail oriented.

 

Details:

Part Time (this position may be considered for full-time hours).

Must be willing to work nights and weekends

$16-$22/hr depending on experience, subject matter expertise
