Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Handyman/Property Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance tasks and be capable of handling a variety of repair and maintenance duties across our properties. The role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and as part of a team to ensure our properties are well-maintained and meet safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conducting routine inspections of properties to identify maintenance issues.
  2. Performing repairs and maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC.
  3. Responding promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or property managers.
  4. Troubleshooting issues and developing solutions to resolve maintenance problems.
  5. Installing and repairing appliances, fixtures, and equipment.
  6. Performing preventative maintenance to ensure the longevity of property systems.
  7. Maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks.
  8. Collaborating with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or projects.
  9. Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities and expenses.
  10. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  11. Assisting with landscaping and groundskeeping tasks as needed.
  12. Providing excellent customer service to tenants and addressing their concerns in a timely manner.
  13. Supporting property manager with various tasks related to property maintenance.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a handyman or property maintenance technician.
  2. Proficiency in a variety of maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC.
  3. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues.
  4. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor.
  5. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication purposes.
  6. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
