Forklift Operator/Warehouse Assistant

An Edmonton client is searching for a Forklift Operator/Warehouse Assistant to join their team.

Forklift Operator/Warehouse Assistant Highlights:

•         Our client, an established company located in the West End, is seeking two experienced Forklift Operators to join their team for their recycling plastic program in the warehouse. This position offers an excellent working environment and the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team. The ideal candidates will be hardworking, honest, and punctual individuals who are committed to maintaining a high level of safety and efficiency.

•         Perform regular checks on the forklift to ensure it is in proper working condition and report any maintenance needs promptly.

•         Allocate approximately 50% of working time to operating the forklift to transport materials and products within the warehouse.

•         Allocate approximately 50% of working time to performing warehouse duties, including manual handling of products weighing no more than 25 kg.

•         Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while operating the forklift and performing warehouse tasks.

•         Always Wear steel-toed shoes to ensure personal safety in the warehouse environment.

•         Requirements:

•         Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse setting is preferred.

•         Forklift certification is desired, but not mandatory. Candidates without certification may be considered if they demonstrate sufficient experience and willingness to obtain certification.

•         WHMIS certification is preferred.

•         Ability to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving products weighing up to 25 kg.

•         Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

•         Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

•         Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

·         11:00 PM – 07300 AM – Monday to Friday

·         $15 - $21/hour
