An Edmonton client is searching for a Vaccum Truck Operator to join their team.

Vaccum Truck Operator Highlights:

•         As a Vacuum Truck Operator, you will play a vital role in providing essential services to various commercial establishments, ensuring cleanliness and functionality of grease traps and sewage systems. Your dedication, positive attitude, and strong work ethic will contribute to the efficient operation of our services and satisfaction of our clients.

•         Key Responsibilities:

•         Maintain a CLEAN Driver's Abstract and possess a Class 5 Drivers license or better, available upon interview.

•         Provide a CLEAN Criminal Record Check, demonstrating honesty, integrity, and suitability for the position.

•         Exhibit a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to get dirty while performing intense physical workloads.

•         Learn to operate vacuum truck systems efficiently and safely, adhering to optimal work procedures and safety policies.

•         Familiarize yourself with small engine Hotsy equipment and troubleshoot and repair grease trap or line issues as needed.

•         Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail, ensuring quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

•         Be geographically familiar with navigating the City of Edmonton and surrounding areas, adapting to changing environments and job locations.

•         Report to a Service Manager, providing updates on job progress, issues encountered, and customer interactions.

•         Adapt to changing shift schedules, which may include early mornings, and demonstrate flexibility in responding to job additions, changes, or cancellations.

•         Interact courteously with employees on-site, providing efficient and quality service while maintaining professionalism.

•         Utilize efficient written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers and record information accurately on logs.

•         Previous experience in plumbing, maintenance, or related fields is an asset but not mandatory.

•         Possess a mechanical background and demonstrate proficiency in using vacuum trucks, grease trap cleaning tools, and MS Office software.

•         Lead by example, exhibiting organizational skills, entrepreneurial spirit, and the ability to handle mechanical work efficiently.

•         Hold a Journeyman designation in a relevant trade, demonstrating expertise and leadership capabilities.

•         Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while on customer sites and when performing work at our Stony Shop site.

•         Qualifications:

•         Valid Class 5 Drivers license or better, with a Clean Driver's Abstract.

•         Clean Criminal Record Check.

•         Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to perform physical labor.

•         Ability to learn and adapt to operating vacuum truck systems and small engine equipment.

•         Mechanical background, plumbing knowledge, or experience with grease traps and vac trucks preferred.

•         Familiarity with navigating Edmonton and surrounding areas.

•         Excellent communication skills and ability to interact courteously with customers and team members.

•         Ability to work early mornings and adapt to changing shift schedules.

•         Proficiency in MS Office applications.

•         Journeyman designation in a relevant trade is an asset.

•         Ability to lead and demonstrate organizational skills and attention to detail.

·         5:00 am – 6:00 pm – Monday to Friday
