Maintenance Technician Job Summary:
A growing steel supplier in Grand Rapids is seeking a 1st shift Maintenance Technician to join their team. The Maintenance Technician will maintain production equipment via mechanical and electrical troubleshooting as well as equipment installation and repair. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team on the first shift.
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment
- Follow predictive and preventive maintenance plans
- Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of foundry equipment during operation
- Read and interpret manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Diagnose problems, replace and repairs part, test and adjust as needed
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on foundry equipment and plant facilities
- Update team on the status of requested maintenance support.
Schedule: Monday – Friday on 1st shift, 5am-4pm + overtime as required
Pay: $20-$24/hr based on experience and qualifications
Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
- HS diploma or GED
- 2 or more years of machine maintenance experience
- Ability to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds on a frequent basis
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, as well as mechanical and electrical maintenance
