Return-to-Work Assistant

Express Employment Professional is searching for a Return-To-Work Assistant in Ashland. This is for a local worker's compensation employer who has been in business since 1985.  This is an entry level position with the opportunity for growth. The successful candidate will assist in a variety of tasks that aid in return-to-work efforts, including communicating with medical and insurance professionals, utilizing claims tracking software, data entry, and researching workers’ compensation cases.  This is a full-time position Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm. Starting wage is $40,000/yr.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or associate degree with two years of office experience.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office and a typing speed of 40+ wpm.
• Data-entry experience and attention to detail.
• Professional telephone manner.
• Excellent business writing skills; composition, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
• Ability to take direction, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
• Self-directed and organized.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination.
• Affection for dogs and occasional foster kittens.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience using databases for data entry, searches, and reporting.
• Experience in a medical office, medical billing, or insurance field.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word formatting and Excel formulas.

Benefits, Hours & Compensation

• Starting annual salary is $40,000.
• Personal Time Off (PTO) starting at 2 weeks annually.
