Responsibilities:

1. Diagnosis and Repair:

   • Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues with small engines promptly and accurately.
   • Perform necessary repairs or replacements of defective parts to restore equipment to proper working condition.
   • Ensure adherence to manufacturer specifications and industry standards during repairs.

2. Maintenance:

   • Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups on small engines.
   • Clean and inspect engines to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
   • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and performed repairs.

3. Customer Service:

   • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their concerns and provide professional advice and recommendations.
   • Provide estimates for repairs and explain the scope of work required to address identified issues.
   • Ensure timely completion of repairs and strive to exceed customer expectations.

4. Inventory Management:

   • Maintain an organized inventory of replacement parts and supplies necessary for repairs.
   • Monitor stock levels and place orders for parts as needed to ensure availability.
   • Properly document usage and restocking of inventory items.

5. Quality Assurance:

   • Conduct thorough testing of repaired equipment to verify proper functionality and safety.
   • Perform quality checks to ensure that all repairs meet the highest standards.
   • Address any customer concerns or complaints regarding the quality of service provided.

6. Safety Compliance:

   • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines when working with small engines and related equipment.
   • Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials according to regulatory requirements.
   • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to minimize safety hazards.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a small engine mechanic or similar role, preferably in a retail or repair shop setting.
• Strong knowledge of small engine systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues accurately.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
