Hazardous Materials Tech

Located in Mead, CO

Salary: $22-$31/hr

A chemical manufacturer who makes a variety of products used commercially in industries including aerospace and defense.

 

As Hazardous Materials Technician you would be:   

• Transfers waste water, waste solvents and other wastes between tanks, drums and shipping containers using pumps, pressure and other equipment   
• Label hazardous waste containers to maintain compliance with labeling regulations 
• Maintain the hazardous waste accumulation area(s) in a clean and orderly condition  
• Perform yard and building cleanup as needed  
• Perform shipping and receiving activities as needed  
• Assists Environmental Manager and hazardous waste management  
• Use company databases to create and maintain waste records and documents  
• Perform inspections as required by company and regulations to maintain compliance  
• Attend classes as designated by Environmental Department  

 You may qualify for the Hazardous Materials Technician position if you:

• Basic math and reading skills required
• Computer knowledge including MS Excel
• Six Months of chemical operator related experience
• Experience working with regulatory requirements
• Have either a HS diploma or GED

Pay: $22-$31/hr

Schedule: Sun-Thurs or Tues- Sat 8am-5pm 

Location: Mead, CO
