Location: Texarkana, TX

Pay: $12/hour

Hours: M-F 7am-3:30pm

 

Busy Texarkana company has an immediate opening for a scanner. MUST be detail oriented and be self motivated. 

• Scanning in documents for loaded railcars
• reviewing and organizing files
• some lifting involved (30-40# boxes)
• Must be computer proficient, Excel proficient
• any other clerical duties as assigned
• Make sure everything is in each individual file that should be there (shopping instructions, forms, drawings, photos, etc.), is in the correct order, request missing items, make sure labeled correctly and filed in correct electronic file after scanning.
• This is not simple, mindless scanning. It requires a lot of attention to detail. We have multiple types of files that need scanned, and each type has somewhat different scanning criteria (repair car files, new car files, files for work done off site, etc.).
• Some items are scanned daily, some monthly and some yearly.
• Double and triple check scanning as files are destroyed at the end of the year.
• Self-motivated – able to work without constant supervision after training.
• Will be working in an open area. Need to be able to shut out/ignore noisy surroundings.
• Must not be afraid of dirt. Even though this is an office setting, we are a Plant environment. The papers scanned will sometimes by dirty as they are filled out in the Plant or outside. Plant personnel will be tracking in dirt, mud, etc.
