Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Purchasing Buyer to join their team. The Purchasing Buyer will be responsible for procuring all required materials for the fabrication of pre-engineered metal buildings. This role requires strong negotiating skills, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and a minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize strong negotiating skills to secure favorable terms and pricing from vendors.
• Procure all required materials for the fabrication of pre-engineered metal buildings, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to production schedules.
• Review order acknowledgments to verify accuracy and schedule compliance.
• Assist accounting with any invoicing issues related to material discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain strong business relationships with vendors.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues in the purchasing department and other departments throughout the company.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Strong negotiating skills with a proven track record of securing favorable terms and pricing.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience.
• Experience within the pre-engineered metal building field is preferred, but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
