Accountant - $45,000 to $50,000 ANNUALLY BOE

A company in Vinton, TX is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with strong cost accounting and inventory management skills to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing costs, preparing budget reports, managing inventory levels, and providing financial guidance to the management team.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Analyze production costs and recommend ways to reduce expenses

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost forecasts and budgets

- Monitor inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies

- Develop and maintain standard cost models for products

- Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for cost overruns

- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve cost control processes

- Provide financial analysis and support to management as needed

 

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

- Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or similar certification is a plus

- 3+ years of experience in cost accounting and inventory management

- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
