Purpose of Position

Achieve customer care service levels to accelerate Company order growth; help build and enhance relationships with customers and distribution partners. Perform assigned pre-order, order entry and post-order tasks to streamline customer purchases; optimize customer’s overall experience working with the Company.  Demonstrate empathy, reliability, assurance, and responsiveness. Serve as a role model of UE NSPI’s values; support Department efforts to create a high performance, winning sales culture.

General

·          Field requests from customers and distribution partners received via telephone, voicemail, email and Company website; actively listen to assist customer efforts to describe their situation, problem, needs and expectations; learn, discern and document customer’s or distribution partner’s issue in assigned Company computer system and databases; proactively route and escalate issues to appropriate internal staff for effective response and resolution

·          Maintain and update assigned information databases and document filing systems

·          Capture customer and distribution partner literature requests; use computer systems to route requests for fulfillment

·          Handle overflow activities from Marketing to manage tradeshows and fulfill customer / distribution partner literature requests

·          Assist with logistics to host Company visitors; manage food service logistics for internal meetings; provide visitors with verbal and written guidance on directions to the Company, hotel and restaurant recommendations, etc.

·          Other duties as assigned 

Desired Background and Skill Requirements

·          2+ years customer service experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment; ability to make sound customer-related decisions; respond quickly to the needs of the customer

·          Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English; fluent in Spanish preferred

·          Exceptional telephone skills to actively listen to customer’s situation; project empathy and positive attitude to assist customer with their support request; proactively resolve customer complaints and problems

·          Self-starter; ability to work under minimal supervision and successfully multi-task; work well under pressure to meet deadlines

·          Ability to work as a strong team player and perform in a  team environment; proactively recommend improvements and changes to optimize workflow and satisfy customers; prior experience and training in quality methods and continual improvement preferred

·          Strong Microsoft Office (e.g.,Outlook, Word, Excel) required; strong keypunch and data entry skills required; prior experience working with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system; experience with Infor Syteline preferred

·          Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
