Import/Export Coordinator for an International Shipping and Logistic Company in Torrance!

Torrance based freight company has an exciting opening for an Export/Import Coordinator!

The general responsibilities of the job are track and trace shipments, coordinate with brokers, and provide customers regarding arrival, delivery, and shipment status.

This is a contract to hire with target salary of $22-$24/hourly with full benefits once hired on by company.

Essential Duties:

• Track and trace shipments via steamship lines, rails, and airlines.
• Coordinate with brokers to ensure timely customs clearance.
• Provide information to customers regarding arrival, delivery, and shipment status.
• Coordinate with customers to ensure payment is received prior to delivery for COD accounts.
• Coordinate with truckers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Negotiate with truckers on rates when necessary.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of Freight Forwarder import experience is required
• At least 2 years of Freight Forwarder export experience is a plus
• Ability to handle shipment from booking to delivery
• Experience with CargoWise 1 is a huge plus
• Bilingual in any language is a plus
• Experience with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
