Automotive Body Repair Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Body Repair Technician to join our team. As a key member of our collision repair shop, you will play a crucial role in restoring damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition. If you have a passion for craftsmanship, attention to detail, and take pride in your work, we want to hear from you!

Compensation:

  • $1500 / Wk Average, can make as much as $2500 / Wk if very skilled.
  • All compensation is commission.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years in automotive body repair.
  • i-Car Certified (i-Car certification indicates that you’ve been through a shop that has been DRP (Direct Repair Program) certified.)
  • Tools:
  • Must own and maintain their own set of tools.
  • Skills:
  • Can you weld quarter panels or do you weld door skins?
  • Proficiency in welding various parts of a vehicle is essential.
  • How good are you on a frame rack? Can you push-pull frames?
  • Frame repair skills are critical for a journeyman in automotive body repair.
  • Welding:
  • Proficient in welding techniques.
  • Repair and Replacement (R&R):
  • Capable of performing R&R tasks on both vehicle interiors and exteriors.
  • Materials:
  • Skilled in working with metals, plastics, and fiberglass.
  • Qualities:
  • Dependable:
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Adaptable and Open-Minded:
  • Able to adjust to changing requirements and think creatively.
  • Flexible:
  • Willing to take on various tasks as needed.
  • Pride in Work:
  • Takes pride in their craftsmanship and attention to detail.
  • Certification in Structural Body Work:
  • The ideal candidate should be certified in structural body work, ensuring they have the necessary expertise in repairing collision-damaged vehicles.
  • Reliability and Detail-Oriented:
  • We value reliability, trustworthiness, and attention to detail. Strong oral communication skills and a solid work ethic are essential.
  • Time Management:
