Summary

 

Administer a financial loan program, which includes the facilitation of all information between the non-profit and the credit union partner, and all loan applicants.  Inform the public, particularly individuals with disabilities, of the benefits of all loan models of the State Alternative Financing Program. Provide applicants with financial counseling, budgeting, and funding options that could provide a loan to obtain needed assistive technology and other equipment.

 

Prefer candidates with non-profit work experience. Experience working with those who have disabilities is a plus. Social Workers and Case Managers are encouraged to apply.

 

 

Major Duties

 

  • Responsible for the preparation of materials and documents for all loan models under Georgia’s AT Act State Alternative Financing program, ensuring compliance with the standards established by the Administration on Community Living (ACL), Credit Builders Alliance (CBA), and Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI).
  • Complete and submit all federal and state reporting requirements for the low interest alternative financing program.
  • Provide information and referral and technical assistance to individuals, families, service providers and agency personnel on the topic of financial loans to those who contact the program.
  • Provide training and public awareness as well as additional assigned duties to meet grant requirements.
  • Complete all client specific information that is necessary for programmatic partners to process applications to make the necessary loan decisions.
  • Responsible for maintaining daily financial records, invoices, accounts receivable and completing all preparations for a program audit for the program.
  • Manage existing grant reporting requirements, including responding to disputes and requests.
  • Travel may be required to perform all job duties which are typically in-state to meetings, trainings, professional workshops, and occasional out-of-state travel for national conferences and/or meetings. May need to travel before or after 8 to 5 as part of job. May occasionally have Saturday training and/or booth exhibit responsibilities at conferences.

 

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, five to ten years of related experience including counseling, financial analysis, and teaching others.
  • Knowledge with financing, budgeting, and/or banking.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills necessary for interaction with individuals with disabilities, professionals, and state agency personnel.
  • Strong computer and organizational skills to complete data systems along with national reporting requirements including maintaining financial records.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and meet deadlines.  
  • Be competent in the use of excel for reporting and tracking.

 

 

Work Schedule

 

Monday - Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

 

Able to pass a background and drug test.
