Order Desk Sales Associate

Located in Ottawa, ON

Salary: $46,000 - $55,000

Our client, a flooring company located in the west end, is currently looking for a people-centric Order Desk Sales Associate to join their team.

Duties may include, but are not limited to: 

• Answer incoming phone calls
• Greet customers at the order desk
• Assist contractors and clients in-person and over the phone with their orders and suggesting additional product/material
• Create orders, quotes and bids in the company software, using already established procedures, pricing etc.
• Follow-up on all files, review all open orders, to ensure appropriate action is taken to deliver the product or service within the agreed upon timeframe.
• Provide the information requested by customers, either by telephone or in person, for special items and/or for specialty products
• Communicate effectively and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times to ensure exceptional, friendly service
• Other duties as assigned 

Are you Qualified? 

• Previous sales or counter sales experience required
• Previous experience with kitchen and bath products a strong asset but not required (will be trained)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and results-oriented
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word
• Computer savvy
• Good problem solving and decision-making skills
• Comfortable communicating with contractors

Assets: 

• College Diploma in Interior Decorating / Interior Design
• Previous industry experience / product knowledge 

Salary: $46,000 - $55,000 per year depending on experience

Schedule:

Monday to Friday – 7:30am to 5:00pm
