Fabrication Tech

Located in Bossier City, LA

Duties and Responsibilities 

1. Reads and interprets drawings.
2. Shears, notches, punches and bends enclosures.
3. Cuts, drills and taps angle and flatbar for enclosures.
4. Makes bus work for enclosures.
5. Makes GPO Barriers for enclosures.
6. Keeps punches and dies organized.  Reports any damaged punch and dies to Production Manager.
7. Performs all other assigned tasks.

 

 Makes stock parts for enclosures.

1. Assists in taking inventory.
2. Operates forklifts.
3. Puts up tools, jigs and supplies.

       

Equipment/Machines/Tools:    Machines or equipment which must be operated, or special tools which must be used in order to perform the job.

              High School Diploma

  

Experience:       Types and amount of work experience necessary as a minimum for an average person to successfully learn and perform the job satisfactorily

 

              Little or no previous work experience necessary, although some sheetmetal experience helpful.

 

 

Special Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:     Special skills, knowledge, and/or abilities necessary as a minimum for an average person to successfully learn and perform the job satisfactorily.

 

1. Numerical aptitude involving fractions, decimals and percentages.
2. Ability to read and interpret drawings.
3. Ability to use a tape measure.
4. Basic mechanical aptitude.
