Job Description of a Heat Treat Helper:

Express Employment Professionals is looking for a Heat Treat Helper for our client in Temple, TX.  As a Heat Treat Helper, you will assist in the operation of heat treating equipment and processes to alter the physical properties of metal components. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting senior technicians and engineers in the setup, monitoring, and maintenance of heat treating machinery, as well as handling materials before and after heat treatment processes. You will work under supervision to ensure that all procedures are carried out safely and efficiently to meet quality and production standards.

·         Pay: Starting at $16.00/hr

·         Hours: Monday thru Friday, 7:00am until done for the day (typically no later than 5:00pm)

 

Role and Responsibilities of a Heat Treat Helper:

·         Fill in where needed in either Heat Treat or Shot Blast roles

·         Heat treat castings per work order requirements

·         Check hardness of castings when required using appropriate equipment

·         Maintain heat treat chart/log and other paperwork as required

·         Shot blasts each casting after it has been poured

·         Stamp the proper information onto each casting as required

·         Measure the OD, ID and length of each casting

·         Uses forklift to move castings

·         Other Duties As Assigned

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements of a Heat Treat Helper:

·         High school diploma preferred

·         Must be able to read, write and read a tape measure

 

Preferred Skills of a Heat Treat Helper:

·         Must be able to handle extreme heat

·         Must be able to consistently lift 50 pounds

·         Ability to drive a Forklift required

·         Must be able to read a tape measure

·         Must be able to come to work on time each day
