Maintenance Coordinator

We seek a skilled Maintenance Coordinator to oversee and coordinate all facility maintenance operations. The maintenance coordinator will supervise maintenance staff, schedule repairs, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and maintain excellent facility conditions.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance staff, including technicians, janitors, groundskeepers, etc.
  • Inspect building systems, equipment, and facilities regularly to determine maintenance and repair needs.
  • Use AppFolio software to generate and prioritize work orders, track inventory, and optimize maintenance operations.
  • Schedule preventive maintenance and oversee the completion of repairs promptly.
  • Coordinate with contractors when specialized are required.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, fire, and building codes/regulations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and reports.
  • Monitor maintenance supplies inventory and place, procedures, and best practices.
  • Develop and implement maintenance policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Create and manage departmental budget and control expenses.
  • Utilize inventory program/app (Sortly).
  • Product research and ordering.
  • Conducting or facilitating move-in and out inspections in AppFolio.
  • Building and maintaining current and new vendor relationships.
  • Scheduling vendors as needed or turnovers and or work orders.
  • Entering, following up, scheduling, and maintaining active work orders in AppFolio – entering notes, uploading pictures, closing out, etc.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in facility management or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in maintenance, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Expertise with various facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with AppFolio software is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
  • OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
